The Frit Vibe canister is much larger than the original Powder Vibe canisters. Used to keep smaller frits clean and to make their use easy and fast. The vibrations of the power unit help you sprinkle frit where and when you need it. Whether it is on a graphite plate or dropped directly onto your hot glass. Scott tested this with Size 4 frit, Black Nebula from GT Glassworks.
This tool gives you a measure of control, however, you are working with small chunks of glass. This is not something that will give you great precision, but it will put the frit where you want it and the amount you want. When not in use, the canisters magnetic base helps keep you organized by staying where you stick it. The fact that it is a canister, helps keep your frit free of dust and contamination.
The frit is easily changed, but you may choose to buy more than one tip because you might like to work with more than one color at a time. This all depends on your needs and wants.
This tool is meant to be held so that the hole is not straight down, but sideways as shown. With the larger granule size, they'll bunch up and lock in the hole quickly if too many try to pass through it together. Holding it this way helps them vibrate and continue to vibrate and move through the hole without binding. If it does bind, you simply raise the angle of the hole for a second while vibrating and it will quickly clear.
Magnets attach easily and quickly for ease of use. One AAA battery is needed and included with purchase.
