Multi-Mandrel Info and Pictures Page
The unit without mandrels measures 9" long.
The small Multi-Mandrel spread is 4.6mm between mandrels across from each other. The measurement between the mandrels next to one another is 3mm.
Our original one is for 1/16" mandrels only. Our newer one holds either four 3/32" mandrels or four 1/8" mandrels. Two sizes in one Multi-Mandrel. Use any combination that suits you.
These two photos show the new Multi-Mandrel for 3/32" Mandrels and 1/8" Mandrels. This unit comes with four of each of these two sizes of mandrels. We call them "Shorty Mandrels"
You can do several different combinations with your mandrels, but the keeper is designed for two and four mandrel configurations. Please inquire if you have different needs.
The following photos are frame grabs from Scott's videos, so the quality is down, but you can still see what I am wanting to point out.
Glass Transfer and Application
Mandrels Insertion and Keeper Removal to prepare for removing mandrels.
See the glass arrow pointing at the brass keeper? To insert or remove the mandrels, you slide this up or down. It has a great and easy friction fit, but always use pliers if you have been working in the flame as the metal may be hot.

Just slide in the mini mandrels and then slide the keeper up. Make sure unit cools between use or always use pliers when handling it. In this photo, the unit is obviously cool.

To remove your creation, slide the keeper down with pliers and then grab one of your mini mandrels with pliers and it will pull out easily and then off to the kiln. The mandrels need to be 1/16". These mini mandrels are about 4 inches long. We sell them, or you can buy some weldling rod and cut some yourself. However, you need to grind the ends so they are not sharp and pointy as they can damage the inside of the brass sleeves.
